And yet another roadblock to my trip has appeared. My sister thinks she has the virus and went to be tested. If it comes back positive, I can’t go. No question, I can’t be quarantined for two weeks up there. If it comes back negative, that would be nice.
And yesterday my hip decided to act up. This would not normally be a big deal but my chiropractor was with someone who tested positive and she’s out of commission for two weeks herself.
I’m about to give up and reschedule the whole damned thing for the next full moon that falls on a Friday in October. (I don’t know if there is one. Probably not.)
I am seriously pissed and tired of this shit. I want normal back, and not this stupid “new normal” crap where people are scared all the time.
My husband told me it will all be over after the election. Really? Because if Biden wins, we’ll all be miraculously cured? And if Trump wins, the same people who wailed and carried on for the past four years will suddenly pick up their toys and go home?
I’m tired.
Sounds like you have the luck of a bald guy who wins a comb. But if you look online – not Web MD – you’ll find many, many inspirational and motivational quotes that suggest we make our own luck and if you are experiencing bad luck, you just have to grunt it out, bear down, grab your bootstraps and reach for the stars.
Alternatively, you could be well and truly cursed. It’s pretty much a 50/50 proposition. 😁

Or I could take those bootstraps and wrap them around body parts of certain people???

In these challenging times we all must do what we must do.

Don’t be silly. It will be a contested election, and the “new normal” will drag on way beyond Nov. 3.
(Is the hip problem because you’ve been so busy kicking the butts of those who desperately deserve it?)
Keeping paws crossed that your family is OK and you get to visit with them on schedule.

Nah, the hip is because I have something wrong with my back. I’m a hot mess

Oh Miss Suzie, I’m tired of this too. I don’t think we’ll ever be back to ‘normal’ but a new kind of ‘normal’. I also think that the quarantine has opened the door for it to happen again…what if we get a really bad flu season?? I’m scared of the consequences this is all going to have in the future. 😦

We’re all gonna get it and 99% of us are gonna get over it with no issues. I promise

I have the same concern that this is going to be the latest tool to try to control people.

I live in redneck country and I’m seeing the stirrings of rebellion. Lots of people not wearing masks, not paying attention to the arbitrary rules, going about our lives. I don’t think the idiots in charge really have a clue what they’re playing with.

I wish I saw a bit more of that around here. It seems there is a one-upmanship when it comes to blind compliance. (Ha ha. Me talking about blind.)

i’m seeing people post that if a store won’t let them in without a mask, they’re either leaving and going elsewhere or just simply asking if the store management would prefer them to spend their money elsewhere. It hasn’t been a problem yet for me, there’s one store that has never required masks and has pretty much everything we’d ever need. I wear it because I’m non -confrontational for the most part, but I rip that thing off as soon as I’m out the door.

Here stores post that per the governor’s everyone over the age of 2 must wear a mask in order to be inside of a store.
I wish I were more confrontational.

Me too sometimes. Today I went to the beer distributor and was told that they won’t serve anyone not masked (I was wearing mine). The thing is, they’re not the only beer store and the others aren’t being dicks about it, so way to lose business, guys!

Right with you on this…I’m tired, too.
I hope your sis and all of your family are healthy and you get to spend some time with them.
Sorry to hear about your hip. 😦 Hope it gets to feeling better soon.

Sorry, I dropped the word “edict” in my last comment.
They are all being dicks around here. Esp. the governor. If a store doesn’t enforce the masking rule it will lose its business insurance. (And we all know that the governor is the legislative branch of state government.)
