Or so it feels.
I was making great progress. I don’t know what happened this weekend, if it’s stress or something else, my left hip has decided it doesn’t want to play nice anymore.
It hurts. It’s not a screaming into the wind pain, it’s more like , as the stupid doctors always ask, a 4 out of 10, Sometimes a 5, if I move wrong.
My therapist recommended calling my doctor and getting an exam, so I did that – actually went through the portal – tonight. And I may have a good weep later.
In other news, my BFF and I went to see The Accountant2 today . I liked it, lots of action, plot was a bit slim but lots of stuff got blown up. I’ll watch it again when it comes to TV
After slapping my “you’ll never get better “ voice into submission, I’m tired and frustrated but determined to keep fighting. Tomorrow is a quiet day, grading and making stew to share with my 90 year old neighbor- good food and good friends, a break from the busyness- that will help.
Chronic pain is underrated. Being at a constant 4-6 wears you out. You have my sympathy. I hope that a change in barometer might help your hip feel less cranky.
Who needs plot when things blow up?! I plan to enjoy that movie when it comes to Tubi.
Has Maverick been a good boy for you while you’re feeling sore?

Chronic pain is exhausting- as you well know. 🙃 I didn’t think about barometric pressure causing some of this so thank you for mentioning that! Maverick is battling me over a hot spot, and that’s not helping either of us !

Geordie used to get those. I felt so bad for him. He liked Benedryl for them. Whether they relieved itching or made him sleepy enough to nap through them, I couldn’t say. Hope Maverick – and you feel better soon!

Maverick is already on allergy meds so I can’t give him Benadryl. This would be healed but it’s on his face, so he keeps scratching it. And using the cone is a nightmare for all of us.

I echo Bitey Dog’s sentiments.
we can commiserate together. The “magic medicine “ my doctor shot into my gout-laden knee wasn’t as magical as he claimed. I’m trying to avoid foods and drinks that aggravate it but I was foolish on Cinco de Mayo and had a margarita.
I hope you and Max feel better soon.

I’ll never have the back shots again, I think it did more harm than good the last time. Do you eat sour cherries or drink the juice? One of our friends had gout and he swore that helped. Of course, he also drank about 7 Long Island Ice Teas every night so he probably couldn’t feel much anyway
