I’m not sure when they became out of vogue, out of style, wrong think, or what but apparently they are no longer true.
Today Twitter has permanently suspended the account of the man who is at this moment still the President of the United States.
If that doesn’t scare the living shit out of you, there is no hope left for this country.

As a middle school employee, I can tell you with absolute certainty that social media is the #1 source of all drama. The amount of time and resources our administrators spend navigating the matter is staggering. We don’t allow our student to use phones during school, so they have no qualms about lying to the teacher so they can ‘go to the bathroom’ and check their phones. The parents, and the way their tear down our teachers and administrators on line is numbing.
I am in the process of banning Jack Dorsey and Mark Zuckerberg. Liberating.

This is the cancel culture. They all want to live in their safe space where they are right and those that are wrong aren’t allowed.
I am concerned about the future. In the short term they have plenty of people to cancel but soon they will be feasting on their own and that is when things will get ugly.

I just saw a post by a supposedly well read person applauding the banning of the President. I so wanted to say, “how will you feel when they come for you?” This generation has grown up reading “dystopian” fiction and think they have a clue. Here’s a hint – Katniss isn’t real.

I’ve heard both China and Russia are mobilizing. I don’t think I have enough spirit in me to fight back. Just look for what’s left of me in a pit somewhere with a bunch of my fellow citizens.
